Sporben Sports & Life Club

Designed for the Sporben Autism Association, this project was built on a sense of social responsibility rooted in the idea of “If Everyone Were the Same”. It aims to discover the interests and abilities of individuals with special needs through sport, preparing them for independent living, while also supporting their families to strengthen family unity and quality of life.

The design was built around a concept centered on nature and sport, supporting the activities of individuals with special needs in every area. Spaces where individuals spend quality time immersed in the landscape are supported by green courtyards carried through the building; courts and activity areas were placed at a different level for a more sheltered, supervised position. The entrance landscape, shaped by a water channel and amphitheater steps, makes the space feel safer and more familiar, while transparent, permeable façades connect the inside with the outside.

Developed with contributions from pediatric support groups, Sporben Sports & Life Club aims to be the first social responsibility club — in Turkey and in the world — to bring together individuals with special needs and others alike.
